Fall Apart Crock-Pot Ribs

Set it and forget it…These crock pot ribs are the best I’ve had, short of the actual grilling method of course! This is a very simple recipe that I came across a few years ago and have since adapted it to our preferences over time. This is my go to method when I want ribs during the week and have a million things going on. We’re eating them within a half-hour of getting home, and they turn out perfect every time!

Ingredients:

3 pounds baby back ribs, trimmed – TBH, I loooove Costco Ribs (pre-seasoned)

Salt & pepper, to taste (optional – highly recommend if not using pre-seasoned)

1 can of coke or 1 can of beer

½ onion, sliced

1 clove garlic, chopped

Your favorite bbq sauce – My go to recently has been Lily’s BBQ Sauce, low in sugar big in bold, bbq sauce flavor.

Directions:

  1. Season ribs with salt and pepper, unless you bought pre-seasoned

  2. Pour cola (or beer) into crock pot. Layer the ribs into the slow cooker.

  3. Place onion and garlic in the middle of ribs

  4. Cook on High for 4 hours (or Low for 8 hours). Once ready to remove from crock pot,

  5. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

  6. Transfer ribs to a lined baking sheet. Discard onion and garlic. Coat ribs with barbeque sauce.

  7. Bake in preheated oven until the sauce caramelizes and sticks to the meat, approx. 10 to 15 minutes

  8. Enjoy with coleslaw and truffle mashed potatoes!
