How did this year fly by so fast? Hard to believe it’s almost time to whip out the roasting pan for Thanksgiving dinner. I love Thanksgiving, it’s one of my favorite holidays to host. When I was little, I even loved Thanksgiving more than Christmas. Getting together with your loved ones and eating a bunch of comfort food?! Yes, thank you.
This year, our table will hold a few less guests, but we will continue to celebrate, make more food than we need and be thankful for each other. I wanted to share my simple, elevated tables cape this year. I found a few things from World Market that will take my table from Thanksgiving to Christmas.
Also, I recently went live on Instagram with flower shop owner, Lexie Younger, from Floral and Flame. She went over step by step how to create a budget friendly center piece or hostess gift if you don’t need to bring a side dish. Her tips were so helpful and the final arrangement was gorgeous! - Every table-scape needs a focused centerpiece. For my table, I used three large Gold Cage Glass Hurricanes. I purchased 3, 3×6 Ivory Flameless LED Pillar Candles to fill them. I love them because they have a timer and feel and look just like real wax candles! These hurricanes will also look beautiful on your table throughout the rest of your holiday season.
- To add a little texture and finish your place setting, try adding dried flowers. Here I took three pieces of dried wheat and tied them with twine. Look in your backyard too! The kids will have fun finding treasures in the yard.
- I love adding a charger plate to elevate my table. Shown in the picture are chargers from last year’s purchase at Target. I look high and low to post but couldn’t find them. These Driftwood Chargers are a close match!
- Cotton Slub Napkin with Fringe for the win!! They are $1.99 each and come in so many colors. I have to be honest, they really wrinkle after you wash them, but if you don’t mind ironing or tossing after use, they are really pretty!
- Gold Wave Flatware Collection is so pretty and perfect to take your pacesetting to the next level. I love the soft golden color and shape of the flat ware. My boys know we are entertaining when I bring these pretties out.
